      Do you think how interesting it will be when you start your laptop or PC, it welcomes you or speak any message that you want your PC to speak. Just for fun, feel like JARVIS. This process is very simple, just a few script and add your personal message like welcoming you or any quotes or remembering you something. Windows Operating system allows many function which is not known by everyone, they allow many great services and functions, so we don't need any third party software to download or install. Everything can be done in Notepad.



  How to make your PC greet you with a Custom Voice message at startup.  


Step 1: Open Notepad and paste the script given below.
Script:
Dim speaks, speech
speaks="Welcome to your PC, Username"
Set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
speech.Speak speaks
Step 2: Save this file as any name like we say welcome.vbs, after filename .vbs is very important this will convert your file for windows sound format.

Step 3: Now, copy and paste this file at the location as shown,

  For Window XP  
Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

  For Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista  
Navigate to C:\Users\ {User-Name}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

Unhide Hidden Folders: (If required)

The Appdata Folder is hidden in default, so you have to unhide this folder, if you know then it's good but if you don't then follow this,

  For Window 7, 8, old versions.  




  1. Select the Start button, then select Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization.
  2. Select Folder Options, then select the View tab.
  3. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.
  For Window 10.  


  1. Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
  2. Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
  3. Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
By following this steps you can unhide this appdata folder and paste your .vbs file into it.

Step 4: Now, Select the Start button, then select Control Panel > Sounds > Sound > Sound Scheme ( Select "No sounds" and select OK.



Note, this step is very important, if you skip this step then you cannot hear you sound clearly.

Now, everything is ready, just restart you PC and Laptop and enjoy.

If you want then you can control the speed rate of sound or volume of sound by using this script:

Dim speaks, speech
speaks="Welcome to your PC, Username"
set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
with speech
       Set.voice = .getvoices.item(0)
       .Volume = 100
       .Rate = -4
   end with
speech.speak speaks

Do same procedure for this script also and enjoy.
